The End!

This concludes our Christmas program.

I hope you enjoyed it.  Thanks for being such a fun and responsive audience!  You all made it all a pleasure!  Or even more pleasurable than it already was.  Happy holidays!!!

Love,
Grace (now collapsed on the sofa drinking mimosas)

Yay! It was very much fun for me too. I would have felt guilty of wasting valuable time (in which I could/should be doing laundry, cleaning, etc.) if it hadn't been for you all being so enthusiastic and fun. :D

Thanks for this perfect example of Christmas Cheer for M&C Obsessives. I have thoroughly enjoyed your Christmas program and I'm sure many others have too. Certainly not a waste of time!

Thank you! I'm glad it wasn't a waste of time (though now I owe messmates and my whole house a long long visit.)

That was great! I have been all stressed out with finals and graduation, but these had me laughing and definitely brightened my days :) Thanks so much for sharing! Now, have a nice rest and a merry Christmas^^

Aww, that's touching to hear - thanks! Good luck with your finals, if they're not done already, and big congratulations on graduating!! College? High school? Grad school? Kindergarten? PhD? Naval academy?

Merry Christmas!

Thanks so much! (Yes, I have one final and one project left...)
I'll actually be graduating from grad school - with a degree in Library Science :)

Oh cool! I'm a paper conservator, and I work with a bunch of book conservators too, so our worlds are pretty close. (Maybe we've already had this conser- I mean conserva- GAH CONVERSATION!)

That's cool! Conservation/preservation always looked fun, but I never got a chance to do any work with those departments. Do you enjoy your work? :)
I actually ended up getting into the Information Architecture world of library school, which is more about information organization for the web. I am a geek at heart :)

It is fun, and I enjoy it very much! It's the perfect career for me. It helps me expend some of my OCD tendencies in a profitable way. :D

Information Architecture, interesting! I do love information to be organized. That's why I keep starting small communities (like this one). Organizing is good.

Oh hey, I was just peeking at YOUR profile. So you're at UMD? One of my good friends and former coworkers works there now as a book conservator. If you're interested, I bet he could give you a tour of his lab. Or maybe you've seen it already?

I was just peeking at your profile and had to comment on Billy Budd. I read the story and a play version of it very long ago and loved the story! I am curious and may have to look into this opera...

I posted about the opera here! I love it. It was Billy Budd (the opera) that first got me interested in the age of sail. The music is very modern sounding to most people (unless you're used to 20th century music), and possibly strange, but oh, I think it's so beautiful.

Thanks! I will have to read up on this later when I get back from church...
In my case, it was a computer program about explorers that got me interested in sailing. I was researching Magellan back in middle school for fun :)

Hurrah! I'm glad to have been of service! (And hey, are you in Moscow? Isn't it extremely LATE there??? You'd better go to bed. Santa Jack knows when you are sleeping, and knows when you're awake!)
